.NEWSEC CONCLUSION

.group skip 3*spread
Some of what has been described in this paper already
exists in running form; some has not even been coded. As we
continue our implementation of HAL, we will no doubt discover
that some of the features documented here have little use, or
are better handled some other way, or are too difficult to
implement. We will also discover new features that seem
reasonable to include.

Our current hopes are to have at least a partial version
of HAL operative by December, 1974, and to have most of the
features documented here available by June, 1975.

We would like to urge all readers of this report
to inform us of all the shortcomings which our design might
offer; in a sense, we have been so close to it for so long
that we undoubtedly are blind to some major defects.
